Catching up...

Yikes, I didn't mean to 'take a break' from blogging for this long! I guess I've just been busy... Right now, the Edmonton Folk Festival is in full gear and that's been real fun. Who doesn't like listening to an eclectic mix of music until midnight? :D

Anyways, here's a few of the pictures that have been kicking around in my camera for awhile...I made some fat-free, whole-wheat, sugar-free, stevia-sweetened banana bread the other day, by replacing the oil with more pureed banana. I couldn't help adding a tablespoon of cinnamon, either. :) I baked it in mini muffin cups, too.

They turned out pretty well- a bit on the dry side, but that's probably because of the oil-free aspect.

Mmm- my mom made some raspberry jam.

These are the Coconut Lime cookies from Vive le Vegan. SO easy, and they received rave reviews. They did turn out rather big, (some as large as my palm!), so next time I'll make them an eensy bit smaller.

Garbanzo bean sprouts! My favvvve. I was planning to make a raw hummus with these bad boys, but unfortunately I forgot about them for awhile so now they're mouldy. :(

And, finally, kale! Our garden is flourishing right now- it's awesommmmme.

I've got to leave for the Folk Fest now- I'll do another catch-up post later!

Sounds like you've been having fun at the festival! The cookies and the muffins look so great. I'm really impressed by your blog, you are inspiring me to give up processed foods (although I rarely eat them) and focus on healthy and wholesome dishes. Thanks!

All the food looks wonderful. I also get rave reviews for those coconut-lime cookies. I love chickpeas, but I've never tried sprouting them- sounds cool!

It's been fun indeed- I remembered my camera yesterday so some pictures will be up soon. :) Thanks for the kind comment, Paulina.

All of Dreena's cookies seem to be well loved! Sprouting chickpeas is verrry cool indeed. :)
