Blog Action Day was on Monday

From http://blogactionday.org/:

"On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future."

Isn't that a neat idea? Now, unfortunately I've had too much homework lately to post (ugh), so I couldn't really participate in this. However, I did do something environment-related on Monday!

My school has an environmental club, you see, so on Monday we did a fluorescent lightbulb campaign. Basically, we went door-to-door around a neighbourhood close to the school and handed out lightbulbs & talked about the benefits of fluorescent vs. incandescent. It was great fun! I was surprised at how many people already had "green" lightbulbs though, but that's a good thing.

Hopefully I'll be posting again soon, bye!

How cool that you guys are so engaged and active- I wish all schools had an environmental club!

How cool that you are involved in the environmental club and got to be involved in the lightbulb event. I'm leading a club on my campus that is environmentally based- it's such a great thing and we need more people involved.

I never got to comment on the sprouting post. But thank you so much for that. I'm feeling a bit more confident now, thanks to you, and I'm going to give it a go!

Yeah, it's really a great little club. In previous years, supposedly they raised money to adopt a panda- how cool is that!?!
