Whoa, it's Sunday already?

Yikes, I didn't mean to take a break for this long! I guess time just flies by when you're doing homework...

Speaking of homework, I've got a LOT of it, but it's mostly just one subject. In my English 10H class, we're reading To Kill a Mockingbird and there are a few projects we're doing at the moment. One is to draw the Radley House:

Ugh, I'm still not quite done.... I don't mind drawing & colouring too much, though, so I've been coping pretty well so far.

Anyways, this isn't a whining-about-homework blog, this is a vegan food blog. So, let's see some vegan food!

I've been busy, as mentioned before, so my meals this weekend haven't been as fancy as theywould have been. Today, though, I had a delicious wrap of grilled eggplant and peppers, chickpeas, leftover broccoli stems, and a good dose of Ras el hanout.

We've been buying this delicous whole wheat flatbread lately, and it's replaced pita bread for me! I absolutely love it. It's paper-thin and flexible, so you don't have to mess around with stuffing it like you would a pita- you can just wrap it around your filling like a tortilla.
See? Paper-thin!Plus, it comes in HUGE rounds- probably about 1 meter/3 feet in diameter! I love tearing off just what I need.

Anyways, enough raving. Here's the aforementioned filling: (not a fantastic picture, but it tasted great; trust me!)

See you all again soon! :)

ps: If I have time, I'm going to make my first seitan EVER today or tomorrow. I've be using the Vivacious Vegan's modified Seitan O'Greatness recipe. I'll post my endeavors into wheat meat making!

Ah....I love To Kill A Mockingbird! What a great classic. Scout is such a great character....heck, they're all great.
Anyway, where did you get that lovely flatbread?

Seitan is easy, and delicious.

I love wraps, I think yours sounded really tasty. If it's wrapped up in bread I'll eat it!

Thanks for the comments!

The seitan WAS surprisingly easy! Pictures will be up right away. :)

I like Scout too! Her and Miss Maudie are my favorite characters so far.

We got it at Planet Organic, but it comes from this one Lebanese bakery. I can't quite recall the name, sorry! I can find their pita bread and flatbreads at other places too, I think IGA does. Their plastic bags have "World's Greatest Pita Bread" written on the front, if that helps!

It was tasty indeed. :)
