More.... bentos!

Before anything else... I made this cute little chopstick case! It was sewed together with fabric scraps I found in the basement :) Now I won't end up with a plethora of lost chopsticks hiding in the bottom of my backpack.

Monday:
It was supposed to be ME! :D
On a bed of mixed greens and sliced zucchini and pickles, I had a zucchini body & head, sweet potato arms, grape tomato hands, carrots for legs, beet juice for blush, and a nori face. My hair was tofu noodles tossed in curry powder. I only wish my REAL hair were that curly! Curse my straight locks.

Tuesday:
This was a lazy lunch. Mixed greens and tomatoes, steamed carrots, sliced pickles, celery. I gave the celery faces, though, and felt slightly sadistic as I ate them.

Wednesday:

Ocean! My friend J gave me the lovely idea :)
Underneath it all are some mixed greens, then I put a layer of zucchini on top. The sand was made from a lovely spread/dip of nutritional yeast, dijon mustard, curry powder, soymilk, and dulse seaweed. Mmm, SO GOOD! The starfish was made from the very last beet scraps, the flower and dolphins and big fish were punched out of nori, the seaweed is zucchini, then the little orange fishies are carrot.

Thursday!
J gave me the idea for this one too :)
I had a layer of mixed greens underneath, but I wish I'd just done zucchini instead because the leaves were way too 'bumpy'. The sun was a slice of cucumber with that nutritional yeast spread I mentioned earlier, with carrots for rays. The stars and planets were bell pepper with various craps of other veggies, while the cute little comet in the upper right corner was carrot, zucchini, and nori. Oh, and the whole dark sky was nori too.

I didn't have school Friday (yayy!), so no bento then :S

And here's mine for tomorrow:

You know that song by Oh no! Oh my! ? "Walk in the Park"? I was thinking of it when I made this.... "Nice day for a walk in the park...."

I put some leftover green salad on the bottom, then covered it in zucchini. The grass is made out of a big piece of nori and the path is made out of that same nutritional yeast spread (I'm addicted... and I WILL post a recipe sometime). The tree and bush are made out of romaine lettuce, while the tree's trunk is a zucchini scrap. Those little orange flowers are carrot with some weird turmericy sauce I made for the centers. As for the sun, it's got that same weird sauce for rays, then is made out of bell pepper and nori.

Whew! See you all again real soon, hopefully- and with something other than bentos!

Vegancowgirl- Thanks! I think I'm going to have to make some more :D Haha, straight hair gets so boring though, and mine never holds curls for very long :(

Bianca- thanks! My friends think that my lunches are pretty cool and they love seeing what I come up with. They do make fun of me sometimes for putting in that much time and effort into my lunch, but whatever :P

tofufreak- Thanks! They actually only take between 15-30 minutes usually, and I do them right after dinner before the leftovers have been put away. Haha, yeah they're jealous :P

Vegan tickles- Aw, thanks! I still have a long way to go before I'm a real bento master, but making up themes is always fun :)

Wild spice- Thanks so much! I checked out your blog too and yours is fantastic as well!
